This Atlanta Burger Was Rated the Best in the Nation

Americans love their burgers.

A drive down through any town in the United States will take you past dozens of burger chains from global brands to local favorites.

But what is the best burger of them all?

That's the question review site Yelp set out to answer as they compiled a list of the 100 best burgers in the United States.

And it was a burger in Atlanta, Georgia that topped the list. Let's take a look at the list and the best burger in the United States.

How the ratings were done

To compile the all-time list of the top spots for a burger in the US, Yelp "identified businesses in the restaurants and food categories, with a large concentration of reviews mentioning “burgers,” then ranked those spots using a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews. If a business with multiple locations appears more than once on the list, we keep the highest-ranked location. When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of February 8, 2023."

The best burger in the United States

In a surprise the best burger in the nation isn't served at a burger joint but at a barbecue restaurant- Fox Bros BBQ in Atlanta, Georgia.

Fox Bros has over 2,500 5-star reviews on Yelp as people rave about its burger.

According to Yelp:

"Instead of a typical ground-beef patty, you get a hefty helping of chopped Angus beef brisket, along with peppery bacon, melted house-made pimento cheese, jalapeno mayo, tomato, red onion, and pickles on a toasted brioche bun. All those flavors and textures have made the Fox Bros. “Burger” the best in Atlanta and the country."

According to the owners - twin brothers Justin and Jonathan Fox, the burger started as a joke but has been a smash hit. Although the brothers have opened several Fox Bros restaurants in Atlanta, the burger is only available at the location on Dekalb Ave
