In some welcome news for the retail industry, retail giant Target is set to open seven new stores in Florida.

There has been a lot of bad news in the retail industry of late, with stores closing down across the United States.

However, in some recent positive news, Target will be opening seven new stores in Florida.

"Like the hub of a wheel, each new store and its team members not only support the local community. They also help Target move — getting goods when and where guests need them, however they want to shop...And each step of the way, we work closely with local officials and guests to develop stores that truly make shopping easy, inspiring and affordable." Target statement

A couple of these new stores will be bigger stores- almost 150,000 square feet in size.

The "bigger stores will offer consumers a wide assortment of products while supporting the retailer’s popular same-day fulfillment services. The stores will also deliver on Target’s stores-as-hubs strategy for digital fulfillment."

In addition, some of these stores "will include new design elements that reflect the local community, experiences that highlight new brands, assortment and services, and sustainable features."
