A new Chick-fil-A in downtown San Antonio is set to open this Thursday and is awarding 100 locals free chicken for a year.
Good news for lovers of chicken sandwiches with the announcement that Chick-fil-A is set to open a new location in downtown San Antonio this week.
The fast food favorite will open on Thursday in the historic Rand Building at 106 E. Houston St., in San Antonio. The store will be one of the largest in Texas.

To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant is honoring 100 "local heroes" who dedicate their time to serving the San Antonio area with free Chick-fil-A for an entire year. In addition, Chick-fil-A is donating $25,000 to Feeding America to help eradicate hunger in San Antonio.
Chick-fil-A continues to expand in San Antonio.
They recently announced they are joining H-E-B and Whataburger in the Potranco community. A recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows they expect to commence construction on a new store at 14521 Potranco Road, San Antonio.
