The popular website Niche has just released its best places to live in the United States list for 2023, and Cambridge, Massachusetts, was ranked as number one.
The Best Places to Live in America report is based on collecting and analyzing dozens of rankings factors from federal and local government datasets. This is then combined with proprietary Niche data and community reviews from each area to determine a ranking for each neighborhood.
Based on this, Cambridge has ranked the best place to live in America.
It scored an A+ for families, nightlife, health and fitness, commute, and outdoor activities.
The median house price in Cambridge is $888,000 compared to the national median of $244,900. While the median rent was $2,338 against a national median of $1,163.

Living in Cambridge offers residents an urban feel and most residents rent their homes. In Cambridge there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. I love it here! Cambridge, MA is the Mecca of Biotechnology, which is what I want to continue in my Professional Career, but also in Graduate School. It is very safe, diverse, The Top Two Universities in the World are here, the salary is high, specially for those who work in Tech and Biotech meaning that you can easily have a great quality of life. Lastly, I highly recommend those who are ambitious and career driven to move here, if you can make it here, you can make it ANYWHERE!
Living in Cambridge has been a wonderful experience. The rich diversity allows every resident and visitor feel at home. The commute to work, to Boston, and to the surrounding towns is very easy. Public transportation is easily accessible. Cambridge is a very safe and family friendly (and dog friendly!) town. I hope to live here for years to come!
