The retail industry in North Carolina has been hit hard of late, with national chains announcing multiple store closures in the state.

This includes seven Bed Bath & Beyond stores and seventeen Tuesday Morning retail stores closing in North Carolina, with more store closures expected to follow.

A few weeks ago, the Apple store at Northlake Mall in Charlotte closed abruptly before announcing it would remain permanently closed. This was a surprise move from the iconic brand, as Apple rarely closes stores.

Now popular clothing retailer Bumble has also decided to exit Northlake Mall, making the announcement with a short statement.

"We are closing this location at the end of day March 26. We invite you to visit us at one of our nearby locations."

Buckle has eleven other locations, but this was its only store in Charlotte.

The retail industry has been hit hard of late; over the last month, more than 1400 retail stores have been listed to close, with the possibility of more to come.
