If you are like me, you can't function in the morning without coffee. Lucky as a coffee lover, there are plenty of great places in San Antonio to choose from.

Below are the eight highest-ranked coffee shops in San Antonio, according to ratings and reviews by Yelp users. The rankings take into account not only the star rating but the number of reviews.

1. Medina River Coffee

According to Yelp, the best coffee shop in San Antonio is Medina River Coffee.

2. Black Rifle Coffee Company

The Black Rifle Coffee Company was founded in 2014 to support veterans, active-duty military, and first responders. In February this year, the company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. They currently have over 1700 locations across the United States.

3. Summer Moon

Summer Moon was voted one of the five best coffee shops in the city in the 2019 Express-News "Top 100 Dining & Drinks" guide. They currently have 20 locations in Texas, but only one in San Antonio.

Rounding out the top eight is my personal favorite- Merit. Formerly known as Local Coffee, they rebranded last year to fall under the Merit name, which was used for their coffee roasting business. They have five locations around San Antonio (as well as 3 in Austin and 2 in Dallas).
