People in Dallas love their steaks, so they need to be very good for a new steak restaurant to open here and do well.
Thankfully that is the case with the new STK that has opened its first Texas restaurant in Dallas, in Uptown. The popular global chain has 24 restaurants in major cities across North America, Europe, and Asia. It has just opened one of its largest properties worldwide at 2000 McKinney Ave in Dallas.
“They say everything is bigger in Texas, and we cannot wait to make STK’s signature ‘vibe dining’ experience larger than life in Dallas,” Emanuel Hilario, president and CEO of the One Group
STK promises to be different from the usual steak restaurant. Its website states, "STK distinguishes itself by emphasizing the social experience and taking a vibe-driven approach to fine dining. Every venue has a DJ to create an infectious, high-energy atmosphere, and the sleek environment is designed to encourage guests to interact and mingle."
STK Dallas has employed John Holloman as executive chef. Holloman has previously worked for Gordon Ramsay in Boston and in Dallas restaurants, Del Frisco, and Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse.
“We’re thrilled to finally have our doors open in one of America’s beefiest cities and be able to share the unique STK experience... We’re excited to expand our menu in the coming weeks with exclusive dishes that you won’t be able to find at any other STK location,” John Holloman, Executive Chef at STK Dallas
With so many superb steak restaurants in Dallas to choose from, it will be interesting to see how well STK Dallas does.
