Beto O’Rourke has based his George Soros-funded campaign on a doctrine that would destroy Texas’ success. I won’t let that happen. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott

With just a few days until Texans vote in the November midterms, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has launched perhaps his most scathing attack on his Democrat opponent, Beto O' Rourke.

Given the opportunity of an editorial piece in Fox News, Abbott penned an article titled, " I'm Greg Abbott: This is why I want Texas' vote in the midterm election." The opinion piece outlined Abbott's reasons for why he believes he is the best choice for Texas Governor.

He highlighted that New York billionaire George Soros had funded Beto's campaign. However, it should be noted according to figures provided by Transparency USA, Soros has donated only $1.5 million of the $76 million that Beto has received.

Next, Abbott pushed the issue of the most concern to Texans- border control. The latest poll from the University of Texas at Tyler found that securing the border was considered the most critical policy by 28% of people.

"Beto O’Rourke and Democrats are also ignoring the national security and humanitarian crises on America’s southern border. Following record-low crossings under President Trump, a record 2.2 million people attempted to illegally cross the border over the past year under President Biden. That’s more than the populations of 15 U.S. states and the same size as Texas’ largest city, Houston. Yet, Democrats like Beto dismiss and distract by cheaply insulting the unprecedented efforts I’ve had to take to protect Texans." Texas Gov. Greg Abbott

In the long opinion piece, Abbott spoke about education, the economy, law enforcement, and the oil and gas industry. Each time was highlighted why he was a better choice than Beto.

"This election, Texans are faced with two vastly divergent paths. While Beto’s profanity-laced outbursts and publicity stunts make for sensational news, they are proof he lacks the experience and temperament to serve as the leader of our great state. I will preserve the sensible policies and conservative values that have made our state the greatest in the nation for raising a family, starting a business, and pursuing the legendary opportunities Texas offers." Do you agree with Abbott's comments above? Do you think that billionaire George Soros has funded Beto? Should Fox News also allow Beto to write an opinion piece so he can push his case?
