Not only the coolest street in the United States but also one of the most famous, Sunset Boulevard, stretches for 22 miles. It starts at the coast on the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades and runs east through to Downtown Lose Angeles. Along the route, it passes through iconic neighborhoods such as West Hollywood and Beverley Hills.

Sunset Boulevard perhaps reaches its coolest at the 1.5-mile section known as Sunset Strip on the border of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The Sunset Strip is full of restaurants and nightclubs and its extensive array of colorful billboards along the side of the road.

Sunset Boulevard is so cool it makes it is referenced in movies, TV, and music.

There is the 1950 Billy Wilder movie called Sunset Boulevard as well as an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical with the same name. In the 1950s, there was a popular TV show called 77 Sunset Strip.

Not many streets can boast that sort of fame.

"Stretching from the bustle of downtown to glamorous Malibu, Sunset Boulevard stands out as the ultimate road to fame or fortune. Or at least that’s the dream.
