Come check out the delicious treats at the Street Eats Food Truck Festival presented by Phoenix New Times at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, AZ.  Over 40 of the best food trucks Arizona has to offer were at Salt River Fields February 5th and 6th, 2022.  We spent the day outside enjoying that amazing February Arizona weather while scarfing down some of the best food truck food we could find.

Things to do in Phoenix, AZ | Hike North Mountain

Come checkout North Mountain located right in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona.  Danielle, Scotti, and I all take the paved hike to the summit of North Mountain.  This hike is family friendly and great if you have a stroller.  With great views of Phoenix, AZ at the top, this moderately challenging hike provides a great way to get outside and catch some great views of the Valley of The Sun. 


At 2,104 feet, North Mountain, and 2,149 feet, Shaw Butte, are easily recognizable landmarks in the north valley skyline.  The mountains offer a wide array of trail options for hikers of all abilities and bolsters two of the best summit climbs in Phoenix.  The North Mountain Visitor Center provides hikers and nature lovers with detailed information on the trail system, Sonoran wildlife, and regional history.  One of the many volunteers who run the visitor center will share stories of how at the turn of the century the area served as a campground for

The lower stretch of the Salt River, below Saguaro Lake is controlled by dams like the Stewart Mountain Dam just upstream, the lower Salt River flows year round and is one of the most scenic settings in our State, with abundant Arizona Upland Sonoran Desert vegetation and wildlife. The lower Salt River area is ideal for fishing, bird-watching or observing wildlife.

It's about 1:30pm on August 18th, 2021 and we started getting another aggressive monsoon storm. So I figured I'd take you right into the action.   While Arizona get's two monsoon seasons every year, the last two years we haven't had this severe of rain, win, and destruction.   As a native to Arizona I LOVE the monsoon storms!

CRAZY MONSOON AND DAMAGE AFTERMATH! | AZ Monsoon August 13th, 2021

I haven't seen a monsoon cause this much damage in soooo long.  We've received more rain in this monsoon season (2021) then we did all of 2019 and 2020 combined.  Arizona's desert desperately needs the rain from the monsoons but it has come with a price.  You'll see parking awnings down, trees down and uprooted, and flooding all over Phoenix, Arizona.

Come take a quick tour of one Arizona's best vineyards right in the heart of the Verde Valley of Arizona.  Located in Camp Verde, Arizona between Jerome and Cottonwood, Arizona.  This is a great little get away from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix, Arizona.  Alcantara Vineyard is only about 90 minutes from Phoenix.

BREATH TAKING VIEWS at Arizona's 5th Highest Peak | Mount Baldy

Come hike to the summit of Mount Baldy with us.  Mount Baldy is located in the White Mountains of Arizona.  About 260 miles east Phoenix, AZ in Apache County is where you will find this beautiful mountain.  Lush with pine trees all the way up until you reach the BALD summit of Mount Baldy.  This is a great hike to do if you're up in Pinetop, Show Low, or Greer, Arizona visiting.   As it relates to difficulty Mount Baldy isn't too hard from an elevation gain stand point but being as though you're already at higher elevation climbing to the summit at 11,400 feet definitely puts some extra stress on your lungs.

Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness | Backpacking | Camping | Hiking | VLOG

In this video vlog Danielle, myself, and four of our good friends go to Aravaipa Canyon to backpack and camp for two nights.  Aravaipa Canyon is a hidden gem in south eastern Arizona just outside of Wilcox, Arizona.   Aravaipa Canyon is located about 160 miles southeast of Phoenix, Arizona.  Aravaipa Canyon is home to some amazing wildlife.  A permit is required from the Bureau of Land Management.  Only 50 people a day are permitted to enter the canyon.  

Once you're in the Aravaipa Canyon and backpacking/hiking in you will be in and out of the water the whole time.  It's about a 50/50 split from dry to wet land.  So be prepared with closed toed water shoes, and old pair of shoes you don't mind getting wet, or if you're a little crazy like me, wear some Teva sandals.

Kayaking the Verde River | Verde Adventures 

Join Danielle and I as we kayak down the Verde River with Verde Adventure Tours.  (<a href="https://sedonaadventuretours.com">https://sedonaadventuretours.com</a>/)  There isn't a more relaxing way to kayak down the Verde River than with Verde Adventure Tour's Water to Wine package. We stayed at The Tavern Hotel where Verde Adventure Tours picked us up, dropped us off at the launch point, you then kayak down the Verde River for 90-120 minutes (depending on your pace) and you finish your kayaking at the base of Alcantara Vineyards.  You then proceed to have a wine tasting at Alcantara Vineyards.  Then Verde Adventure Tours picks you up and takes you back to the hotel!  Perfect day!

Make sure to bring sunscreen, bug spray, and a cooler with your refreshments (alcoholic or non).

Hey Insiders!  Today's video Danielle and I hike Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona.  Camelback Mountain is nestled in the heart of Phoenix and has two great trails to hike. There is the cholla trail and the echo canyon trail.  Today we hike Echo Canyon.  Echo Canyon is 1.2 miles, and just about straight up!  Camelback Mountain is a staple and iconic to those visiting and to those that live here in Phoenix, Arizona.
