How I Cleared My Acne: 3 Main Things That Helped Me Achieve Clear Skin.

I’ve suffered from acne since I was 13. I’ve been called ugly, dirty and even pizza face when my acne was at its worst. Having acne really took a toll on my self-esteem and I started to believe all of the bad things people were saying about me and my face.

That’s why 2 years ago I decided to invest my time researching how to clear my skin until I finally did it and today I’m going to tell you exactly what I did!

1. Skincare: The first thing I did was to get a proper skincare routine, I used to wash my face with the same soap I washed my body with and didn’t moisturize my skin because I thought that I didn’t need it cause my face was oily (I was very wrong). Look for skincare products that suit your skin type and be consistent using them.

I started with a simple routine which is Cleanser, Moisturizer and Sunscreen and I saw dramatic changes on my skin within weeks!

2. Diet: I didn’t realize how much food was affecting my acne, I used to eat pizza almost every weekend and though the week I would have so much greasy food and sweets nonstop. All of that junkfood that I was putting on my body was showing up on my face and it made my acne so hard to treat!

I started incorporating healthy foods on my diet like strawberries, nuts, salmon and other foods that were anti-inflammatory and high on antioxidants, plus I also stopped consuming so much greasy and deep-fried food and immediately my breakouts stopped being so frequent and I just had few pimples every now and then.

3. Mental Health: Lastly, the moment my skin really cleared up was when I stopped being so unhappy about it. Previously I didn’t want to go out or even look people in the eyes because I felt so bad with myself and the way I looked, but when I stopped giving my acne so much power over my life was when I truly felt my skin started thriving! The power of our minds is really powerful, never forget that.
