(NEW YORK) On Saturday, the first Community Cleanup event of the year —organized by the Community League of the Heights — will take place at Ilka Tanya Payán Park in Washington Heights.
The cleanup will begin at 10 a.m., with locals focusing on the east and west sides of Broadway between 155th and 165th streets. The group will meet at Ilka Tanya Payán Park, located at the corner of Edward M. Morgan Place and Broadway. The group cleanup will finish at 2 p.m.
New York City Comptroller Brad Lander and Rep. Adriano Espaillat will be in attendance as well. Cleanup materials and refreshments will be available for all attendees.
