NYPD seeks man behind robbery at gunpoint in Washington Heights

(NEW YORK) The New York City Police Department launched a search for a man who committed a robbery at an apartment building in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan.

The incident took place on Saturday, May 7, at 9:45 a.m. in an apartment building lobby near West 188th Street and Audubon Avenue. The unidentified individual entered the building, brandished a firearm and stole the 60-year-old male victim's wristwatch and $300 in cash, police told NewsBreak.

After the incident, the assailant left the scene and headed south on Audubon Avenue, according to officials.
