(NEW YORK) Most people don't like Mondays. The start of the workweek can be daunting, but at Kismat — a local Indian restaurant in Washington Heights — it just means they are one day away from opening up their dining room for live jazz!

"Jazz at Kismat" takes place every Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Kismat, located at 603 Fort Washington Ave., welcomes all locals to "come play, listen, hang, eat and enjoy Manhattan’s Friendliest Jazz Jam."

The live jazz at Kismat is organized by Jazz WaHi — the same group behind the jazz music at Bennett Park on Mondays. The group welcomes all musicians to come sit and join in on the fun.
