(NEW YORK) As the spring weather continues to make its way across the Big Apple, so does the outdoor fun that comes along with it! In Washington Heights, locals can rejoice as the weekly Jazz Jam, organized by Jazz WaHi, returns Monday afternoon.
The free event will take place at Bennett Park, found on Fort Washington Avenue between 183rd and 185th streets.
Musicians will gather at 4 p.m. with the music going on until 5:15, so long as the weather permits.
According to Jazz WaHi's website, organizers have played an estimated 245 sessions together, with the participation of more than 300 musicians. During the COVID-19 pandemic, musicians reorganized to play on Zoom for weekly sessions.
With clear skies set for Monday afternoon and a high of 58°F in the area, locals can look forward to the return of jazz to Bennett Park.
