(NEW YORK) New York native Lin-Manuel Miranda will be joined by Academy Award-nominated actor Hugh Jackman for a showing of "The Greatest Showman" at the United Palace in Washington Heights on Sunday.
The screening of the 2017 big-screen musical is part of the second installment of the local event known as Movies at the United Palace. Tickets were made available on April 4 and quickly ran out upon announcement. Thanks to the Miranda Family Fund, with support from American Express, all tickets are free to the public.
Doors will open at 11 a.m., with a special introduction from Miranda and Jackman set to take place before the movie begins at 1 p.m.
According to the United Palace website, “The Greatest Showman” is the second of six movies chosen by over 2,000 online voters to fill out the United Palace’s movie season. The remaining movies include: “Black Panther,” “Coco,” “Do the Right Thing” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”
Screenings are scheduled for May 15, June 12, September 18 and October 16.
