(NEW YORK) Calling all families in Washington Heights! A woman-run photography company will host multiple mini sessions for free this Sunday at Fort Tryon Park, according to Patch.

Shoott, the business behind the free family mini sessions, strives to make professional photography more available and affordable across the country. Along with supporting clients with access to high-quality photography, Shoott also provides more opportunities for freelance photographers to utilize their skillsets.

The company launched in 2018 — right here in the Big Apple — and now runs across 600+ locations nationwide. CEO Jennifer Tsay cofounded Shoott with Chairman Daniel Kaufman.

Each mini photo session can be booked for free and is scheduled for 30 minutes. There is no need to worry about renting a space or dreading being indoors the entire shoot as the sessions are all outdoors and take place at well-known parks and locations.

This Sunday, Washington Heights residents can meet at Fort Tryon Park's Margaret Corbin Plaza. Sessions are available as early as 9 a.m. and can be booked through 6:30 p.m. as of Tuesday.

Along with Sunday, Shoott is taking bookings for Sunday, May 8, and Saturday, May 28, as well.

The booking site boasts the following of the Washington Heights photoshoot location:

Beautiful views and stonework mark this scenic park in upper Manhattan with the potential for flowering trees, bushes, and lovely flower beds!

While there is no information regarding the specific photographers available each day, Shoott confirms they are all "vetted and background checked," per Patch. The photographers will be "hand-picked" from their growing team of freelancers. Photographers will be following social-distancing guidelines and will wear a face mask during the mini session, per their website.

The site welcomes registrants to bring along their furry loved ones to complete the family for their respective photoshoots.

After the free photoshoots, families will then have the option to purchase their favorite photos from their session, with no minimum order size in place.

The prices for the services are as follows, per Shoott's website:

  • $30 per photo
  • $15 per photo with a purchase of 10+ photos + 1 retouched photo
  • $295 for your entire gallery + 2 retouched photos
