(ELIZABETHTOWN, KY) Wine enthusiasts throughout the Elizabethtown, KY community will have a chance to uncork and sip a premier selection of Kentucky wines at Freeman Lake Park again this year. Billed as the E-town Wine Fest, the event, now in its sixth year, will be held on Saturday, September 18th at Freeman Lake Park, via the Blue Heron Entrance, from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM EDT.
Festival registrants can sample wines produced by wineries from across the state, including Forest Edge, Bluegrass Vineyard, Purple Toad, Water's Edge, among others. Attendees can also enjoy live music and food from a wide selection of vendors. Bourbon will also be featured at the E-town Tourism Bourbon’s Backyard table.
Elizabethtown City Events Manager Sarah Vaughn says attendee adherence to health and safety guidelines is encouraged.
"There's definitely going to be social distancing. Masks are encouraged and we have a huge area for seating," Vaughn said. "Everyone will have their own glasses to use, so there won't be any kind of double touching."
Tickets can be purchased here with pricing divided into two tiers: attendee and vendor. Attendees and designated drivers not participating in wine tasting pay $10; anyone participating in wine tasting pays $20. Ages 10 and under are free, and all ages are welcome. For vendors, a commercial 10x10 booth is $55, a food vendor booth is $155, and a winery vendor application fee is $80.
Vaughn said the event will proceed regardless of weather.
