It's important to understand that weight loss and dieting is more significant than just cosmetic. Did you know that modest weight gain amplifies the risk of death, mainly among adults? And obesity is now recognized as a major risk factor for coronary heart disease, which can lead to heart attack. Using appetite control is one key to weight loss and dieting. Many people who are overweight commonly have problems controlling the amount that they eat, and so this is something that is truly helpful and can cut out that factor entirely.

When considering weight loss and dieting, I want you to think about these three things:

1) Now, there are a lot of people who think that "healthy" and "reduced fat" foods don't taste as good as "regular" food. If we really want to lose weight and become healthier, we can find plenty of awesome recipes that will help us accomplish our goals. Try out the various reduced fat brands and items; I'm sure you can find something that you like even better than the original.

2) Did you know that when women gain more than 20 pounds from their late teens to middle age; double their risk of breast cancer before they reach menopause, compared those women who maintain their weight. That's why it's important for you to know as much as possible when it comes to weight loss and dieting as well as some easy ways to lose weight and keep it off. Another aspect of weight loss and dieting is to eat fewer calories and be active. If you cut 250 calories from your diet daily and do enough exercises to burn off the same amount of calories, you can eliminate up to 500 fewer calories in one day, one day! If you can do this for 7 days, you can lose 1 pound of fat in a week. See, that's realistic!

3) Many experts believe that losing more than 2 pounds per week isn't a good idea; that it may not be healthy for you. If you do lose 2 pounds or more in a week, it usually means that you that the weight you are losing could be more water and lean muscle mass instead of excess fat. If you do this, you will have less energy, and you will most likely gain the weight back and we don't want that! Hope this helps.

Stay consistent! Consistency is the key!
