Yahoo News reports that a deadly detail was noticed in a backyard fence.
An Australian homeowner Bobi Zhang noticed that her backyard fence had been taped off. There was a black and yellow striped tape that ran the length of the boundary of the fence. The tape was attached to a pole on either side.
Zhang found out that the tape was a warning. The boundary fence was made of fibrous cement sheeting which contained asbestos. The fence was not to be touched or disturbed.
Asbestos is highly toxic and was used in older homes built before 1990. It was mainly used in flooring, walls, roofs, and gutters.
The next step is that the town council staff plans to assess Zhang's fence.
