Tourists in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, made a horrific discovery after they spotted a woman's body floating on the sea.

The incident reported in Yahoo News involved a 52-year-old woman who had disappeared one day earlier after she floated out to sea with a rubber ring around her waist.

Her husband reported her missing as she was dragged out into the sea by the currents.

It wasn't until the next day that the tourists on a boat spotted the woman's body just floating on the water.

Initially, they assumed she was dead but then saw a slight movement. The woman was immediately pulled on board and taken to safety and medical care.

The woman was a German woman who was a resident of Puerto Vallarta. She had spent one whole night afloat on the sea with just the rubber ring around her waist. The rubber ring was the one thing that kept her alive and afloat in the water.

Fortunately, she only suffered from dehydration and recovered knowing that it was truly a miracle that she was discovered.
