In an article reported in The Express, a passenger on a plane is disgusted after she notices a couple sitting near her change their baby's diaper right on the tray table.

The incident was shared by the passenger on social media.

According to the woman, she was not complaining about the baby as she knew that it was stressful for parents and young children on flights. Rather, she was complaining about the diaper change.

She writes,

“What got to me was the couple changing their baby’s extremely stinky number-two diaper right in the middle of their seats — using the mom’s food tray as a changing table”.

The passenger was so disgusted that she claimed she had to throw up after the smell hit her.

She also stated that it happened more than once. She did not say anything the first time it happened but after the second time, her last resort was to speak directly to the parents of the baby.

She said,

“I didn’t say anything the first time, but the second time I heard them go into the diaper bag a couple [of] hours later, I asked if they could please go use the plane bathroom instead of exposing everyone on the plane to the smell."

The baby's mother was very upset and went off on the woman.

However, the flight attendant also agreed with the passenger that the baby's diaper should have been changed in the bathroom.

The incident became somewhat serious when the pilot got on the intercom to announce that diapers should be changed exclusively in the bathrooms.

While the passenger felt guilty about exposing the parents and the baby, many agreed that she did the right thing in the name of safety and hygiene.
