In a recent article in the UK's Mirror, a woman is left mortified and embarrassed after her mailman hands her a package from Amazon.
According to The Mirror, the woman named Chloe Lythgoe had ordered something from Amazon that was meant to be of a sensitive nature.
The item she had ordered was an adult toy and the delivery details from the company promised that the package would be delivered discreetly.
However, on the day the package was delivered, Chloe noticed the unusual behavior of her mailman.
He had a smirk on his face as he walked up to hand her the package.
Initially, Chloe was baffled by his behavior but then it all became clear when she noticed what was written on the package label.
She explains,
"It was awful, I looked at him as if to say 'please, I hope you've not seen it'
However, it was too late. It was evident that the mailman knew what was contained in the package. It was clearly spelled out.
The incident left a lasting impression on Chloe so much so that she states she feels mortified every time she meets the mailman.
Amazon was also notified about the incident as the company had promised that the package would be delivered discreetly.
According to Amazon policy,
We always make discretion a primary consideration. As such, we ensure that all parcels leaving the warehouse are plain and nondescript. All of our orders are packed in neutral packaging without featuring the name or logo.
