The New York Post reports that a Porsche executive, Wolfgang Porsche, age 79, is divorcing his wife because she has dementia.

Wolfgang is a member of the Porsche family and is of German-Austrian origin. He is also a billionaire with a reported net worth of $22 billion. His grandfather was the founder of Porsche AG.

Wolfgang married his second wife, Claudia Porsche in 2019 although they had known each other since 2007.

Although it has just been a few years since his 2019 wedding, Wolfgang now claims that his wife is impossible to live with. In addition, he claims that her declining health has completely altered her personality.

Claudia used to be a former advisor to the German government. With the breakdown of her health, she is unable to move and requires round-the-clock care that she receives from her daughter and housekeepers.

Meanwhile, Wolfgang has been spending time with another woman who has been a close friend to him for many years.

His wife's dementia has progressed to the point that he feels she has drastically changed and nothing can be done.

As dementia progresses, individuals may experience changes in their personality, behavior, and emotions, and may have difficulty with daily tasks, such as dressing, bathing, and preparing meals.

In the later stages of dementia, individuals may lose the ability to communicate effectively, become physically dependent on others for care, and may require assistance with basic activities of daily living.

Wolfgang has been criticized for wanting to divorce his wife during this time.
