Jonathan Lee Riches isn't on the Guinness Book of World Records listing. However, he still holds the unofficial record for filing over 2600 lawsuits since 2006. Some reports even state that he may have filed up to 4000 lawsuits.
Most of Riches's lawsuits have been filed in federal district courts across the country.
He is known for suing almost anyone of notable repute or brand name.
He has sued famous people such as former U.S. president, George W. Bush. He has also sued Martha Stewart, Janet Reno, Steve Jobs, and the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) just to name a few.
He reportedly sued his own mother for not taking care of him well. He won the case against his mother along with a compensation of $20,000.
In 2009, Riches also sued the Guinness Book of World Records believing that they were going to name him as the most litigious man in history.
However, the Guinness Book of World Records stated that there was no such listing for the "most litigious man" and they were not going to create any such listing.
Most of the cases filed by Riches were eventually dismissed.
Riches became a convicted felon accused of wire fraud in 2003. Despite this, he was still suing people. He was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison in 2004. He was expected to be released in 2012.
However, his whereabouts now are unknown although he does seem to have an active Instagram account.
Riches is also the author of the book, Nothing is Written in Stone.
