For residents of Newport, Kentucky, and the Greater Cincinnati area, get ready for the BB Riverboats Summer Tour!!
Having lived in the Newport area for several years and having experienced trips onboard the BB Riverboats, the summer tour is one experience that I regret missing out on.
Here is information on what you can expect for the 2021 annual Summer Tour by BB Riverboats.
Summer Tour River Cities
According to BB Riverboats, the Belle of Cincinnati will head out on the summer tour which will begin on July 22.
There are five nearby river cities that will play host to the summer tour including Portsmouth, Ashland, Huntington, Gallipolis, and Maysville. On July 22, the cruise schedule begins with a dinner cruise from Portsmouth, OH. Boarding begins at 6:30 pm and the riverboat sets sail for two hours during the dinner cruise. There will also be a 2-hour lunch cruise and a sightseeing cruise (lasting an hour and a half) from Portsmouth.
From Portsmouth, the next stop on the summer tour will be Ashland, Kentucky followed by Huntington, WV, Gallipolis, OH, and then Maysville, KY. At each river city stop, there will be an opportunity to go on a lunch cruise, sightseeing cruise, or dinner cruise.
Pricing and Menu
Cruise prices vary with the dinner cruises being the most expensive with a general admission price of $56.60 for adults and $39.62 for children (ages 4-12). The prices for the lunch cruises are listed at $42.44 for adults and $26.41 for children while the sightseeing cruises are $25.47 for adults and $19.81 for children.
There is a standard menu for the lunch and dinner cruise which includes tossed salad, fresh-baked bread, grilled marinated chicken breast, sliced roast beef, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, a vegetarian pasta bake, and a choice of dessert.
You can customize your cruise experience by adding table decorations, appetizers, and desserts. You can also opt for window seating and pre-order a souvenir boarding photo.
Be sure to check out more information about the summer tour on the BB Riverboats website.
Please note that ticket sales are non-refundable and non-transferable and that the BB Riverboats requires all passengers including infants to have tickets before being allowed entry onboard the riverboat.
Whether you are a Cincinnati/ Newport resident or a resident of one of the cities listed on the summer tour, this is one experience that you won't want to miss this year.
