Wadsworth, OH - Wadsworth will be included in Ohio Magazine's annual Best Hometown 2021 issue, which will be released on November 1, along with Centerville, Chillicothe, Delaware, and Sandusky. The communities chosen for this honor will be known throughout Ohio as outstanding places to live, work, and visit.

Ohio Magazine collected nominations in the spring and conducted travels across the state over the summer to pick this year's awardees. To assist in their decision-making, the finalists were rated in six categories: business environment, community spirit, education, entertainment, health, safety, as well as culture and heritage. Wadsworth was chosen by the magazine's editors for its forward-thinking local leaders, a strong sense of community, and pleasant downtown.

"We are ecstatic to be recognized as one of Ohio's Best Hometowns," said Mayor Robin Laubaugh. She added that Wadsworth has plenty to offer. Residents have access to a great quality of life, which includes exceptional recreational options, outstanding schools and libraries, and forward-thinking city services. So many people contribute so much to make Wadsworth the special place it is. There is a dedication to the community here that people won't find anywhere else. She then concluded with Wadsworth is an excellent place to call home.

Wadsworth grants easy access to excellent schools, good health care, a wide array of professional services, and popular retail possibilities, as well as numerous places to remain healthy, unwind, and have fun.

"It was a thrill to meet with the Ohio Magazine team and to share Wadsworth's story," stated Main Street Wadsworth Executive Director Adrianne Patrick. "l think they walked into nearly every downtown business and spent the entire day here. They took the time to get to know Wadsworth and were genuinely interested in our downtown's revitalization, small businesses, First Fridays, grant programs, art murals, and everything that makes our downtown a unique destination." She ended with the city is incredibly happy for this honor, and wants to congratulate all of the other winners.

In the November/December 2021 and July/August 2022 issues of Ohio Magazine, Wadsworth will be one of five communities honored.
