North Canton, OH — The Walsh University campus community is busy preparing for Fall 2021 and the much-anticipated return to more active campus life. With the continued aid and attention of the campus community as well as the availability of the vaccination, the campus hopes that many of the COVID limitations from this past year will remain to be lifted.

Walsh University is now offering various fall incentive occasions for students In an attempt to keep a secured campus environment this fall.

In celebration of the beginning of the 2021-22 school year and to do their part to help limit the COVID-19 spread, Walsh University will grant 10 scholarships for Spring Terms 1 and 2 tuitions for vaccinated students who enroll by September 1 through a draw on September 5, 2021.

Students must be full-time, domestic, degree-seeking students with verification proof of taking at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination. New and returning undergraduate, graduate, transfer, and degree completion students are considered full-time students. Winners will be publicized in Walsh Wire, the University’s internal publication.

You can also win a special drawing for tickets to either the Akron Zoo, Sluggers, and Putters or an Akron Aero baseball game of your choice if you fill out a short, voluntary, online form regarding your vaccination status. Any Walsh employee or student that filled out the form can be chosen randomly at the end of this month as the winner.

In addition, there are 21 more scholarship possibilities to win free tuition for Spring 2022. Eligible students will be full-time returning traditional undergraduate students who are enrolled for Fall Terms 1 and 2 to obtain free tuition for the spring term.

Every week beginning July 12, 2021, Walsh will begin awarding five student scholarships in the categories of Commuter Students, Residential Students, Rising Sophomores/Juniors, and Rising Seniors.

One additional scholarship from the University's full pool of registered students during the drawing's final week will be awarded in addition after registration. The earlier students sign up, the more categories they will be eligible to win in. If a student has already registered for Fall 1 and 2, they will be included in the lottery straight away.

Those who have not yet enrolled for Fall 1 & 2, should contact their academic advisor or call Rebecca Coneglio, the campus's Vice President for Enrollment Management at (330) 490-7190. Starting on July 14, 2021, awardees of this scholarship will be proclaimed each Wednesday in the Walsh Wire.
