CLEVELAND, OH — Fairview Hospital, Community West Foundation, and Harley Davidson will be collecting donations for the pediatric patients at Fairview Hospital on July 11.
This marks the 26th year of Toy Run. The event aims to bring smiles to the children by gifting them stuffed animals, movies, video games, toys, coloring books, and craft items to be used in the Pediatrics Playroom.
The Playroom is a safe area for pediatric patients and families where they can learn, play, and socialize—forgetting the worries of hospital life. If the patients cannot visit the Playroom, the hospital staff would make sure some items are available for them at their bedside.
If you want to support this event, take a chance for the Harley Davidson ride that will take place on July 11, starts at 4985 W 150th St., and ends at the Fairview Hospital Cleveland. Or, you can also purchase a sponsorship package, make a donation page, or collect items.
Participants are to strap a stuffed animal or toy on their bike and bring it to the event on the ride. They can also bring sensory toys, baby handheld toys, bedside crafts, art supplies, board games, coloring books and crayons, paint by number, books, blank journals, XBOX 360 games, playdough, princess toys, among other things.
The event will only receive new stuffed animals and toys. Registration costs $30 for single riders and $50 for double riders, which can be done at https://brurl.co/ToyRun. An event t-shirt will be available for those early registrants.
All participants will be required to follow CDC guidelines on COVID-19 protocols on the day of the event to ensure safety for all.
