Established in 1949, those who grow up in Akron tend to agree that Luigi’s is the best of them all. Parents took their children there, and when they grow up, they take their children there as well. Located at 105 N Main St, Akron, OH 44308-1921, this restaurant undoubtedly has no match. Guarda! Below is a list of why Luigi’s Restaurant is the best Italian restaurant in history in Akron.

1. They keep people returning

Those who have been here will find that other Italian restaurants now don’t look as attractive as this one. There are at least two reasons why people are keep coming back here. A review on Trip Advisor reads: “I have been going to Luigi’s for 50 years and have never been disappointed. The classic charm and history of this Akron landmark is great. The pizza is easily the best in Akron.”

2. They are consistent with their near-perfect tasting food

Would you believe me if I told you old-timers find that their food still tastes the same since the beginning of their establishment? It’s hard to believe, I know. whytho9 from Cuyahoga falls wrote on Trip Advisor: “Been eating here since I was a little kid, 50 yrs maybe. The food and service are always consistently good-to-great. However in all that time I have only ever eaten their salad and pizza. And I doubt I’ll ever try anything else. Why bother when those are near perfection?”

3. Their service is top-notch

Yes, for returnees, it feels like their existence is part of their life, partly because they are close with their customers. A review by Sandy Schulte on their website says: “I love the atmosphere of a classic old family italian restaurant. Sing it billy joel! Lisa our waitress was the ultimate professional and yet made us feel like family! Crusty italian bread, need I say more. Portions were plentiful and food even mama would love (that’s italian for delicious). We are from out of town but I think we will be back!”

4. Cheese

Lots and lots of cheese, and by that, I mean a lot. They’re not stingy with this yellowy delicacy we all love. Todd Dieringer wrote on Luigi’s website: It’s all about the cheese! Mountains of cheese. And the classic salad dressing. So delicious and worth the wait if you get there at a rush time.

5. Romantic

Many Akronites dated the love of their life for the first time here. Just browse their Facebook page, and I believe you will find comments telling their love story involving Luigi’s. Here, I found one written by Francy Sears: “We came here on our first date and fortunately we have now been married 50 years and still love Luigi’s👏👏👏We will be ordering take-out for sure😊”

They got me hungry, and I really, really in need of some good ol’ cheese. So see you there! Ciao!
