Finding an Abandoned Old Rock House & Cemetery in the Smoky Mountains
Abandoned in the Great Smoky Mountains are houses from times gone by, steam engines derailed, cemeteries of those who planted their roots here. There are so many great hidden gems within the Smoky Mountains. We did the Old Sugarland Trail recently to find a few of those things. Way back in the woods off the trail lies an old abandoned rock house that was once one man's escape into the wilderness. Much to our surprise, also off the trail is a cemetery high up on a hill with significant names from the region. Join us as we search out the ruins of the abandoned game cabin and discover other abandoned features along the way.
