Tallulah Gorge State Park | Sliding Rock Trail
Tallulah Gorge State Park is in Tallulah Falls, GA. The Sliding Rock Trail in Tallulah Gorge is a rugged, strenuous 3.4 mile round trip hike to the gorge floor. A permit is required and they are limited to only 100 per day. The permits are free. There is a $5 parking fee. Dogs are not allowed on this trail. The hike is quite an adventure. There is not a marked trail. You climb over boulders, through the river, along steep rock faces, and a steep climb up and out of the gorge. This hike was so much fun and the views are beautiful. The sliding rock is so much fun and a great place to cool off, swim, and rest for a bit before you take on that challenging climb back up and out.
