"Young and the Restless:" Why does Victoria need Nick to come back to Newman?

She was more than willing to give him a long leave of absence and even intended to have Nate take his position as co-CEO. However, in the latest episode of The Young and the Restless, Victoria is eager to get in touch with Nick now that she's got his previous position, and somehow, she'd like to convince him to come back to their family's company.

Could it be that Victoria hopes that once he asks for his position back, Victor will have to reinstate her and step down from management completely?

Isn't it more likely Victor will find some other suitable position and keep managing Newman Enterprises?

Having Nate by her side, is Victoria trying to get another ally, or is it just to restore a temporary balance and get rid of Nick the first chance she gets after she has the CEO position again?
