"Young and the Restless:" Why isn't Phyllis standing up for herself?

Amy Christie

Phyllis used to be independent and have an unusual personality, but at least she made her own decisions, and you could tell she wanted those things even if her choices were difficult to understand. The latest episode of The Young and the Restless shows her being ordered around by Tucker.

And she allows this to happen even though she's the one with the skills needed to turn his plan into a real thing. Her hesitations and protests aren't very articulate, and she ends up sitting down when Tucker McCall tells her to and doing exactly what she's told.

Is this the Phyllis you expected after she managed to stay out of prison? Shouldn't she be more determined and not let anyone talk to her the way Tucker did?

What do you think about Phyllis and the kind of person she's becoming?
