Due to her job and needing to travel often, a flight attendant had given up on ever finding someone who understood how much she cared about her career. Just when she was sure there was no one out there who could be her partner, she met an engineer who had no issues with her travels.
In fact, he packed up and went with her everywhere so they could be together more time. That's how they made wonderful memories and realized they were great for each other. And they've seen 16 countries and 14 states in the process.
What are the details?
Tatiana Wallace, 36, finally met her soulmate on a dating app when she had long given up believing she could be happy and have a family.
Travis Brent Wallace, 40, was not shocked by her unconventional way of life and her frequent travels. Ever since they went on their first dinner date, they realized things would turn out great.
"Being a flight attendant means I have crazy schedules, and I'm away days at a time. Many men didn't like that and just wanted me to have a regular job. Travis and mine's relationship blossomed because we both had the same issues with relationships," Tatiana shared with The Epoch Times.
However, their situation somehow worked out, and Tatiana was able to visit Travis, who was stationed at different places for months at a time.
"His job didn't bother me, and he thought my job was an advantage for us to see each other even when he was away," she said.
Travis proposed to her in Italy on a gondola, and they got married exactly one year after they met for the first time.
They now have two little boys and have found a way to keep work responsibilities connected to having a fulfilling family life.
While she loves her job too much to give it up, Tatiana has reduced her working days to about ten a month.
"My mother helps us watch our children. Life is very manageable with the flexibility of a flight attendant schedule," Tatiana explained about how she juggles parenthood with her job.
And beyond all the challenges, the most important thing was that she and Travis understood each other and agreed that he would never ask her to stop doing what she liked.
"My husband knew I didn't want to leave my job, and he said he'd never ask me to since he knows I love it. In the end, the only opinions that matter are ours," Tatiana pointed out.
Their adventurous lifestyle has slowed down a bit, but not much after having the boys.
"We still try and do three new countries every year and travel in the States, but there are challenges in changing from a childless lifestyle to parenthood," the happy mom said.
Travis and Tatiana are convinced they met at the right time and feel grateful for their family and the constant love they see all around them.
"He is my best friend. We both wanted kids, but meeting at 31 and 34, we thought maybe kids weren't in our cards," she said.
Traveling is also their common passion, and it's added plenty of special moments to their love story, making each minute count as they keep growing together and sharing each wonderful place with their boys.
"We have been to 16 countries and 14 states. We slowed down a little with children, but our boys are now a bit older, so we have about three countries already planned for this year," Tatiana said.
The woman wanted to send out a message of encouragement to everyone who is still trying to find that one special person who can make them happy. She is convinced that direct communication and keeping up your hope are the two essential things that can't fail to bring joy one day.
"Distance doesn't make a relationship fall apart. Being able to communicate is everything. My husband and I have always been clear about our issues because of our professions and being away at times. That's what makes our marriage work. No matter your age, you can find joy. No matter how complicated life is, open up and let love in," she concluded about the power of love and how it can reshape lives.
