Woman has three sets of twins after miscarriage: "This has to be what I was appointed to do"

A mother welcomed three consecutive sets of twins after going through the loss and sadness of a miscarriage.

Having had six babies in the past five years made her feel blessed, particularly since she never thought she would have such a big family.

What are the details?

Jolene Mckee, 32, lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband Andrew, 33, and their kids. They are now a family of eight after the couple welcomed their third set of twins, Aiden and Jaiden.

The mother of six feels "truly blessed" for getting six kids after going through three pregnancies. They had twins from the beginning, so she felt more "like a pro with every new set."

Jolene and Andrew are parents to Payton, Paige, Abigail, Andrew, Aiden, and Jaiden.

"I hadn't envisioned myself with a big family, and I thought I'd only have maybe one or two kids. I feel so lucky we have all three combinations, girl twins, boy-girl twins, and now our boy twins. It worked out perfectly," Jolene shared with The Epoch Times.

Three months before she was pregnant with her first set of twins, Jolene went through a miscarriage.

"I was very scared to go to the doctor for the scan after the pain of miscarrying. I panicked the whole time because it was taking so long, and they called someone else in that room. And then they told me I would have twins. I couldn't believe it. It was beautiful," she recalls.

Two years after her first pregnancy with twins, Jolene discovered she was pregnant again. And she soon learned she and Andrew would be having twins once more.

The woman remembers thinking at the time that she might be pregnant with twins again, but she was still amazed when it was confirmed. Her husband was also very surprised.

And the third time convinced her there must be something special about her family.

"When I realized I was pregnant with twins for the third time, I accepted this has to be what I was appointed to do. All of my pregnancies went smoothly, but it was different for the second and third time around, being pregnant while also an active mom. I had to push through," Jolene shared.

The happy mother admits it was challenging to have three sets of twins, but it became easier to raise them every time they welcomed their babies since they started with twins. It felt easier with every birth, and their home is filled with joy.

"We already knew how to handle it. After I got pregnant for the third time, I was sure it couldn't be another set of twins," she said.

She thought it would be just one baby.

"So when we learned it was twins for the third time in a row, we were in shock; the doctor was just as amazed as we were. He said that, in 25 years, he'd never seen a woman have three sets of twins," Jolene recalls.

The couple joyfully welcomed each baby, and they have since discovered their personalities and loved seeing them make new friends. The way the twins relate to each other is also endearing, with everyone smiling and feeling lucky they can be together.

"Each child has a different personality, and although they're twins, they each have their little buddies. My favorite thing is to watch them grow and progress. It warms my heart," Jolene said.

She added that many people don't believe all the kids are theirs when they go out because they are a young couple. Once they share their story, most people find it fascinating and love finding out the details about their big family.

Looking after their six kids and organizing the household is no easy task, but the parents manage to enforce a good schedule. Laundry can get especially trying.

"Sometimes it's hard keeping up with the laundry; I do at least six loads of washing each week. But all the kids are close, and they get on very well. I love our family dearly, and I wouldn't have it any other way," the proud mom concluded.

Indeed, what can compare to feeling loved, protected, and cherished while having plenty of siblings to look out for you and play with?
