Ryan Wakefield, who lives in Florida, decided to write a book dedicated to the amazing stray cat that turned his life around.
The way they met and how the new visitor took his place in his life is a great source of inspiration and added proof that love, kindness, and compassion always win out.
What are the details?
Wakefield worked as a graphic designer for the last 20 years, and he was always dreaming of writing a fantasy novel.
It wasn’t until his cat Albert passed away that he decided to unite passion, imagination, and great memories to write a book that would honor the cat who helped him find love and smiles again, according to Sunnyskyz.
The man still remembers how he was “claimed” by the cat with a great personality. It happened one afternoon when Wakefield was sitting on the patio.
“I was sitting on a chair one day, and next thing I know, this large, loving cat jumped into my lap. My unexpected visitor decided right then and there that he was staying, and I became a pet owner,” he recalls.
And the cat’s size didn’t fail to surprise him, even to this day.
“His heart was the only thing bigger than his appetite. It amazed me how large he was compared to other cats,” Wakefield shared with the outlet.
They lived together and had wonderful adventures for 13 years after the cat decided that Wakefield would be his dad. Unfortunately, Albert passed away because of poor health.
But Wakefield was determined not to let his memory disappear. So, now Albert is the main character in his fantasy book, Journey to Jumbalot, meant to honor him for the way he brought hope, excitement, and happiness in his life.
