Dog missing for two years reunited with family after getting spotted on late-night news: “Whole again”

An adorable underbite never goes unnoticed with pets but when it’s what sets your fur aby apart you will spot it in a million ads and know your best friend. That’s what happened to a Wisconsin family who had lost their dog.

The pet had been missing for two years when his dad suddenly spotted him on TV in a late-night news segment.

What are the details?

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) said that a man named Dwight got in touch with the news channel in Milwaukee because he saw a dog that had been featured on a segment called “Adopt a pet.” The man said that it was his long-lost best friend Payday. The pet had been gone from his home for two years and it was the lucky coincidence that helped the family be complete again, according to Sunnyskyz.

“He had woken up early last Wednesday to the sounds of the morning broadcast, just as our volunteer started describing a little brown dog with the most adorable underbite. Dwight normally turns off his TV every night but must have left it on by accident – or perhaps thanks to fate. It only took one glance at the picture for Dwight to immediately recognize Payday, his long-lost pup who had gone missing nearly two years ago!” the shelter said.

WHS also shared a touching video with the family reunion. It was an exciting time when you could literally feel the love in the air.

“Payday was reunited with his family at the WHS Milwaukee Campus that same afternoon. Payday was originally brought home as a companion for Dwight's now 12-year-old daughter, who was still distraught over the incredible loss of her best friend. Dwight's mom, Melissa, came to pick up the beloved pup, and – as you can see – it was the most incredible reunion! We are beyond ecstatic for this amazing family to finally be whole again.”
