An Arlington firefighter’s family is convinced that he was kidnapped and killed while he was on vacation with his wife to celebrate their 10-year anniversary, as CBS DFW reports.
What are the details?
On Monday, Elijah Snow was found dead at a resort on Cancun, as his father-in-law stated for CBS DFW.
The terrible incident took place at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, on the couple’s first night there. After they had a few drinks, Snow and his wife headed for their room.
However, Jamie Snow noticed that her husband went back to the bar at one point. She fell sleep, but when she woke up at 4 a.m. he still hadn’t come back to the room.
The woman started searching the hotel to find her husband. At about 8:30 a.m. someone told her he had showed up dead and that he may have fallen between the walls of the resort that was close by.
The firefighter’s family did not believe one word of that story, so they hired a local attorney to get photos from the crime scene.
The father-in-law told the station that those photos show that Snow had beating marks all over his body, except on his head and face.
Family members and a friend travelled to Mexico to arrange to have Snow returned home.
“You’re supposed to be safe there. You’re at your resort, all inclusive, and have no intentions of leaving so you’ll be safe. And you’re not safe there,” the father-in-law added.
Snow had been a firefighter for at least eight years and the profession had a long tradition in his family. His father lost his life while working as a firefighter and his stepfather is a retired firefighter as well.
