A pregnant woman was shot on Friday night by another driver. It all happened during a road rage incident in Dallas and the suspect is still at large.

What are the details?

Two cars were going along Great Trinity Forest Way near Murdock Road. It was about 10:15 p.m. on Friday night when one of the drivers suddenly decided to cut the other car off. The man driving the car that got cut off started shooting at the other car.

The back-left door was hit and a pregnant woman who was riding in the front passenger seat got hurt.

The man who was driving the car where the pregnant woman was pulled over at a Texaco gas station. The Dallas Fire-Rescue team came to the location swiftly and took the pregnant man’s girlfriend to Baylor. The woman was in critical condition, according to WFAA.

The suspect who attacked the car fled the scene. He is still at large, based on official reports.

Later on Saturday the police revealed that the woman had delivered her baby at the hospital. The little one is “doing well,” but the woman remains in hospital in critical condition.

Last week the Dallas Police Department pledged to increase its presence on the roads after several road rage incidents. In the last four weeks at least eight people got shot or killed in their cars because tempers were high on the road.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the police as soon as possible.
