The Melting Pot: The best place to find Swiss fondue in Atlanta

Amy Cheribelle

ATLANTA, GA — The Melting Pot is the only place specializing in fondue in Atlanta known to Yelp. They serve cheese, entree, and chocolate fondues with vegan and gluten-free options. The restaurant is a part of a franchise first built back in 1975. Now they have 103 restaurants across 31 U.S. states.

They have four restaurant locations in greater Atlanta alone. You can find one in the city of Atlanta 30308 at 754 Peachtree St NE. Go north and you will find their location in Roswell at 1055 Mansell Rd. Their fourth place is located at Kennesaw at 2500 Cobb Place Ln NW, Ste 800.

“The secluded tables make for great date nights and even with the presence of covid, it has made it even more romantic to be so far away from other tables. Definitely a must in our family," said Alexis M. on Yelp.

Their cheese fondue is served with bread, fruit, and vegetables. You can choose the dips between Wisconsin cheddar, classic alpine, spinach artichoke, Quattro Formaggio, fiesta, and Wisconsin trio. You can also order a charcuterie board of cured meats, crackers, and a few others.

Try their vegan fondue entree with The Garden Pot which consists of asparagus, red onions, zucchini, sweet peppers, and more. Or try their nonvegan entrees like The Classic, which consists of sirloin, shrimp, pork, teriyaki sirloin, and chicken. You can also try Steak Lovers, Land and Sea, and Pacific Rim for the nonvegan options. Choose your own protein if these options don't fit you.

Their chocolate fondue is served with sweet treats and fresh fruits. Try their signature item, the Flaming Turtle which has a mix of milk chocolate and caramel topped with candied pecans. They also have dark, milk, and white chocolate options, chunky peanut butter, cookies 'n cream and marshmallow, and s'mores.

“It's such a fun experience to make our way through the menu and try each cheese, cooking style, salad, and chocolate. The cocktails are also great!” said Alexis.

Besides the fondue, they also serve salads and other dishes such as coq au vin and bourguignonne.
