Through a thrilling new multi-platform collaboration, Discovery and Georgia Aquarium are creating a stream of content that will allow the public to get close and personal with the world of aquatic animal conservation and care.

The partnership will take the form of a live broadcast of Georgia Aquarium's in-house content delivered straight to Discovery subscribers’ screens. By highlighting the lives of underwater wildlife and their conservation efforts, both Georgia Aquarium and Discovery hope to take part in spreading environmental awareness and the importance of connecting with nature.

Significant moments at the aquarium, such as the birth of an animal, and activity updates will be present on the stream. For animal lovers and conservationists, news and press coverage from relevant experts will also be available.

For a closer look, the partnership will also have special events planned to highlight endangered aquatic species through digital outings, social media live stream activities with animals and specialists, as well as extensive photo collections on

“It is our hope to highlight the issues facing our aquatic ecosystems and what people can do to preserve these unique habitats. Partnering with Discovery, their incredible reach and innovative platforms, will be instrumental in continuing our mission of inspiring a healthy respect for the aquatic world,” said Georgia Aquarium’s president and CEO, Dr. Brian Davis.

As a prominent wildlife content creator, Discovery has succeeded in bringing forward educational news and documentaries on aquatic life. Animal Planet, for instance, has featured two seasons of how conservation happens behind the scenes at Georgia Aquarium.
