Windows 11 Will Launch on October 5; Will Everyone Be Able to Update?


On October 5, Microsoft will introduce Windows 11. On that day, a gradual roll-out will begin, and new devices running the operating system will be available for purchase in stores. Microsoft will make the operating system accessible as an update for compatible Windows 10 PCs. It is available via Windows Update. Microsoft's next fresh new PCs will arrive with Windows 11 pre-installed.

According to Microsoft, the update to Windows 11 is free for Windows 10 customers and will be phased."This does not imply that everyone with a suitable Windows 10 PC will receive the update on Day 1," Microsoft says. Microsoft is examining device hardware and lessons gained from the Insider test program before releasing the operating system to PCs with which it does not anticipate issues.

It is planned that everyone who receives the update has a smooth experience windows 11 should be available to all devices that can run it by mid-2022 at the latest.

If you can wait, Microsoft will inform you when Windows 11 is ready for your PC through Windows Update. You may also check for updates manually under Settings and Windows Update.
