Author Q&A

What inspired you to write your first book?
I saw the impact that the disease of addiction had on society, and people were dying all around me from unintentional overdoses. I decided right then and there to share my experience, strength, and hope. I knew and believed from the very start that I could make a positive impact on society by helping others.

How did you come up with the title?
The title, number of chapters, and chapter headings came to me in a matter of about three to five minutes after prayer.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
The message is plain and simple, change your thinking in order to change your actions, and leave the results up to the good Lord.

How much of the book is realistic?
The entire book is based on modern psychology and biblical Psychology. Although, it is not your run of the mill Jesus loves you book. It is very deep and easy to understand.

Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
All the experiences in the book are based on my own life. They are all true and accurate. The good thing is that in retrospect, I can connect all the dots looking back on my life to help others not make the same mistake.

Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.
The local churches, schools, and treatment centers around Hancock County has greatly supported me over the years. I am very grateful for their help and inspiration.
