“Given a choice, I would have dressed for the occasion. I dressed for every occasion, even nightmares. But this time… I was caught unaware… I was no longer in control.”

Life can be treacherous, and sometimes we need an extra helping hand to get us back on our feet. Terence Ang suffered a stroke in 2020 that changed his life forever. Determined to regain full function and mobility, Terrence put everything he had into physiotherapy sessions. But it was his experience going through denial, anger, and finally acceptance that truly helped him see the beauty in life again. His journey continues to inspire others to appreciate the simplest things in life.

Terence's new book A Cry In The Dark details his journey, his anger, his frustration and his new found hope. He hopes his book not only helps others, but he hopes it can open doors to more discussions about the issue.

Terence is set to speak at the 14th World Stroke Congress 2022 in Singapore, October 26 to 29 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Stroke care is more important than ever as the world faces an ever-growing population with a propensity for stroke. The 14th World Stroke Congress 2022 will bring together leading professionals from around the globe to discuss the latest science and clinical trials to help keep you healthy. This program is designed to help professionals exchange ideas and network, making it a valuable resource for all medical practitioners and researchers interested in stroke care.

Terence is currently working on a project - GRATEFUL STEPS, a holistic treatment center for long-term neurological rehabilitation that provides support and assistance to anyone with neurological issues. The center offers a variety of services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and social work. Terence is dedicated to making rehabilitation more accessible for those who need it, and he is passionate about helping others improve their quality of life.
