Plaza Hotel & Casino just announced its intent to build a smoke-free gaming floor. This new smoke-free gaming floor will be the first of its kind in downtown Las Vegas.
While other casinos in Las Vegas have experimented with smoke-free hotels, sections, or in the case of Park MGM an entire smoke-free destination; these smoke-free options have thus far been limited to off-strip properties and a few on-strip properties.
Plaza's new project will be the first built-from-the-ground-up smoke-free casino gaming floor in the downtown Vegas. An area which up until now has been well-known for its older and heavily smokey gaming spaces.
The smoke-free casino will also feature a partnership with Brian Christopher of Brian Christopher Slots, a YouTube influencer who has grown so much in popularity that Gaming Artis is releasing a themed slot machine for him.
In addition to being smoke-free, the gaming floor will be social media friendly. Plaza CEO Jonathan Jossel described the new gaming floor as, "it's going to be Instagram friendly; we welcome all YouTubers."
In addition to the new uniquely-themed non-smoking gaming floor, the project includes the building of the Carousel bar, an over-the-top themed bar that stays true to the bright lights of the Freemont experience.
They will also feature a donut shop, courtesy of PinkBox Doughnuts, who promises to serve up some sweet and boozy concoctions along side 70+ flavors of tasty donuts.
And, in another first, they will feature the first al-fresco dining option in downtown with the addition of a rooftop patio for Oscar's steakhouse.
In celebration of the announcement, Plaza is hosting a giveaway on Twitter that includes a 2-night stay and $150 in credit for the Carousel bar.
