As Mother's Day approaches in just three short days, many people are scrambling to find that perfect gift for their mother. And what better gift to give your mother than the gift of an incredible experience.

One thing I really love about an experience gift is that it truly does keep on giving, with wonderful memories to last a life time. Fortunately, if you live in the Raleigh, North Carolina, area, I have you covered with some incredible performances coming to town in the month of May.

Even if you are just looking for some live entertainment options in the month of May, this list of options can help you out big time. I am including a few different awesome experiences you can consider, along with some details about locations, costs, and more. So, let's go ahead and get into the list.

1. In Real Life Comedy Tour (Raleigh)

The In Real Life Comedy Tour is coming to Raleigh, North Carolina, or more specifically, the PNC Arena. There will be two different showtimes you can attend on Mother's Day, including May 9 at 3:00 PM, and May 9 at 7:30 PM. This comedy show is described as follows:

"Actor and comedian Mike Epps is set to bring the laughs to Raleigh on the "In Real Life Comedy Tour." Epps will be joined on stage with some of comedy’s most talented and sought-after entertainers, including Lavell Crawford, DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller and Kountry Wayne."

If you are looking for some incredible laughs, the In Real Life Comedy Tour might be the perfect option for you. The ticket prices fluctuate based on demand, but as of today (May 6), they start at $59.

2. The Raleigh Market

The Raleigh Market is a huge flea market that is perfect for bargain shopping. It's a great, socially distanced activity you can do outdoors with your mom on Mother's Day. The market is described as:

"one of the Top 10 flea markets in the US. The market features nearly 300 socially-distanced vendors each weekend, including a great number of antique, vintage and collectibles dealers, artisans and craftsmen, a yard sale section, home goods, clothing, jewelry, and much more."

If you are interested in doing some shopping with your mother this weekend, this could be a great place to check out.

3. NC State Live @ The Lot

From 9:30 - 10:30 PM on May 6, you can check out NC State Live at The Lot, a drive-in concert that certainly won't disappoint. This concert celebrates:

"North Carolina’s expansive music scene. Come and check out Raleigh-born roots rockers Jack the Radio, led by NC State alum George Hage."

If you are a fan of live music and have some free time tonight, this concert series might be one you'll want to consider checking out. As a huge bonus, you get to enjoy it right from the comforts of your own car, in a safer and socially distanced way.

This could also be an early mother's day celebration. You could take your mom with you and enjoy your live, from the car, music performance. It's an awesome source of entertainment that is also convenient.

Final Thoughts

It can certainly be difficult to find the perfect experiencce to pursue at times, but when you find a good match, you truly can have an incredible time, enjoy the show, and make a ton of memories while you are at it.

What is most important is that you truly do feel like your experience was well worth the money, and that you enjoy it with those you love. Whether you are looking for entertainment in the form of shopping, live entertainment, or something similar, this list has hopefully given you some good ideas and options to look into.
