Kiermaier homers at leadoff with an inside-the-park.

On Tuesday, Kevin Kiermaier was the leadoff hitter against the Marlins. He delivered. Starting pitcher, Pablo Lopez, threw a 92.5 mph fastball to Kiermaier as his pitch of the game. The Rays outfielder connected with a line drive to center with an exit velocity of 102.1 mph. The veteran sped up when he saw that centerfielder, Jesús Sánchez, didn't have a catch after a failed attempt.

Rays' third base coach waived Kiermaier to home plate. While there was a throw to catcher Jacob Stallings, the runner was already safe at the plate.

Tampa Bay won the game over Miami with a 4-0 score.

Trevino walks it off for New York's 30th win of the season.

Jose Trevino's RBI walk-off single boosted the Yankees to a crucial 7-6 victory against the Orioles in 11 innings, snapping a three-game losing skid. His game-winning moment had a unique personal connection.

"My dad [Joe] passed away in 2013 and today was his birthday. It was definitely a special moment, that's why the tears were there. It would've been awesome for him to be here, but I know that he's watching."

Trevino's father would have been 69 on Tuesday. Jose woke up yesterday and sipped coffee from his father's favorite cup.

Joc Pederson has three homers and eight RBIs in a walk-off win against the Mets.

On Tuesday, Joc Pederson had a career night against the Mets, hitting three home runs and driving in eight runs in a wild 13-12 Giants victory. With two outs in the eighth inning, his third home run was a splash shot to McCovey Cove to tie the game.

Brandon Crawford's walk-off single to left field concluded the game in the bottom of the ninth.

Pederson attributed his outstanding performance on Tuesday to a lengthy conversation with Barry Bonds before the game.

"Just getting knowledge from such a good hitter and the way he thinks about baseball and hitting, it just helped connect some dots to free my mind up at the plate," Pederson said. "I was able to put some good swings on pitches today."

Pederson joined Pablo Sandoval as the second Giant to hit three home runs at Oracle Park. Pederson's eight RBIs tied the mark set by Willie Mays, Orlando Cepeda, and Crawford during their San Francisco Giants' tenure.
