PHOENIX, AZ — On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, Phoenix Rising has announced that one of its players, Solomon Asante, is included in the USL Team of the Week list, presented by Cleer Audio for Week 11 of 2021. The Rising's forward was voted for the Player of the Week after scoring one goal and three assists in the Rising's victory against the LA Galaxy II.

To add more to his achievement, the Rising's forward is a two-time awardee of the Championship, and Most Valuable Player. He also has scored eight goals and six assists this season, making him placed for second in the league in goals, and first in assists. The total of one goal and three assists make Asante one of the three players that ever made such an achievement in a Championship season after Danny Barrera on 6/5 against New York Red Bulls II and Hadjil Barry on 6/16 against Tacoma Defiance. Both players are from Hartford Athletics

Asante earned 40% of the ballot, Tucker Bone from Sacramento Republic FC’s earned 27% after scoring two goals against Las Vegas Lights FC last Wednesday night with the final score of 2-1 triumph for Sacramento.

Another player was Nathan Fogaca from San Antonio FC that has scored two goals against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday afternoon. The final score for San Antonio was 3-2, with 20 percent for Fogaca's ballot.

Another name from Phoenix Rising is Joe Farrell, who successfully tied an assist, winning five from six matches—three aerial duels, two interceptions, and 44 of 52 passes in their match against the LA Galaxy II with the final score of 5-0.

The Championship's Player of the Week is chosen by the USL National Media Panel that consists of representatives from each media market in the Championship.
