As you all know, the Sunshine States are known for attacks by dangerous creepy creatures. But did you know that the deadliest tree is also found in Florida?

According to The Guinness Book of World Records, the world's most dangerous tree (Manchineel tree) is found in Florida.

The Manchineel tree is also known as Manzanilla de la Muerte, which means "little apple of death."

Manchineel has bright green leaves and round, yellow-green fruit, making it a simple-looking tropical plant. And every part of this plant is toxic.

If you come in contact with this poisonous plant, you may feel blisters, burning, swelling on the skin.

Guinness World Records states, burning manchineel bark causes burns, even blindness, due to the toxic ash in the air. And standing under it in the rain is enough to cause blisters if the skin gets wet from raindrops containing any fluid.

It is one of the world's most life-threatening tropical species, and it is best to stay away from it if you meet one during a beach walk or an adventure in the mangroves.
